The secret to aging could be tied to something you’ve probably never heard of… telomeres.
Telomeres are the essential part of the human cell that affects how our cells age. The longer your telomeres, the slower your age. Telomeres are like caps on the end of your chromosomes, that protect them from deteriorating.

Fortunately, for you, there’s 3 things you can do to slow them down.

Start dancing, jogging, playing tennis, and going to Zumba.

Studies have shown that taken up 4 types of moderate to vigorous exercises, between the ages of 40 to 64, leads to a 52 percent increase in the length of telomeres.

Stop watching Falon and Kimmel.

Adults age 60 or older who sleep at least six hours or more a night, have telomeres as long or longer, than adults 15 years their younger (From study published in the journal Sleep in 2014). So, stop staying up late watching the Late Shows, and get to sleeping.

Kick your soda habit,

Drinking 20 ounces of soda a day, could age you by an additional 4.6 years. Yes, the diet stuff also counts.

If you can follow these three tips, you won’t only feel longer, but the chances are you’ll look younger, and possibly live longer.

No excuses… Get it done!
